Natural gas storage

Enbridge’s integrated flexible storage assets give us the unique advantage that will provide critical balancing needs for diverse markets. Our storage facilities provide natural gas producers and shippers with much-needed working capacity and the flexibility of interconnections with major pipelines to reach a variety of markets.

We have 437 billion cubic feet (Bcf) of net natural gas storage capacity through our assets based across North America. This includes:

  • 160 Bcf of net working capacity from our U.S. storage operations in Louisiana, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Texas and Virginia;
  • 165 Bcf of net working capacity at the Union Gas Dawn Hub, about 22 miles southeast of Sarnia, Ontario; and
  • 112 Bcf of net working capacity through our Enbridge Gas Distribution storage operations in southwestern Ontario.
